Stephanie Falcón Banasau is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. She offers bilingual (English/Spanish) counseling sessions for individuals, couples, and families. The majority of her work involves strengthening relationships, intimacy, and sexuality with a particular focus on wellness for the mind-body-spirit.
About Stephanie
Stephanie Falcón Banasau has a Master’s of Science degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an AASECT (American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists) Certified Sex Therapist (CST). In 2012, she established her own private practiced and has worked with a variety of clients. Her work includes: family counseling, individual counseling for adolescents and adults; couple counseling, problems related to sexual trauma; life issues/changes such as divorce, and any sexually related issues.
Stephanie has presented for the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Our Lady of the Lake University, The British International School of Houston, and various community organizations. Additionally, throughout the year, she hosts couple's workshops and wellness events. Stephanie is a member of the National Honor Society in Psychology Psi Chi, and American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
Stephanie previously worked for Catholic Charities as one of the counselors at a shelter for girls. Stephanie has been involved with co-hosting meetings for bilingual therapists as a way to stay connected with other therapists in the greater Houston area. She has also collaborated with another colleague teaching sexual wellness at a local high school.
Additionally, Stephanie has gained experience with different cultures through previous work as a missionary in Central America; and an opportunity to live in Italy.
Before the start of her current career, Stephanie worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. Stephanie is originally from San Antonio, TX. She speaks English and Spanish.
